Interning at Every Blooming Thing

This past summer I was able to do my intern in Utah at a flower shop that actually won the national award in Flower Review magazine. This flower shop is super top notch. What makes Every Blooming Thing more unique compared to other flower shops is the designers staying away from “cookie cutting” arrangements which allows the designers to use their imaginations. For example, Every Blooming Thing has a signature design known as the “Topiary”. Here below is a “Topiary” that the designers have trained me to arrange.


Another signature design that Every Blooming Thing also designs are “Roundy Moundies”. Here is a “Roundy Moundy” that I have learned to design.


Both the “Topiary” and the “Roundy Moundy” can work for almost any occasion. Every Blooming Thing is not just about sticking flowers in a vase, it’s about making every arrangement unique and different. Many times customers will try to order a specific design that Every Blooming Thing has displayed online. Again, we don’t “cookie cut” our arrangements and sometimes we have to explain to them that we are all about customizing.

Every Blooming Thing also does more than arrange flowers. They provide service for weddings, funerals, and conventions. Every Blooming Thing has done over 200 weddings a year. I was privileged to experience a weekend of working while the company did 5 weddings in one weekend during Mother’s week. This is what Every Blooming thing is all about. So far, I feel like I am getting tons of practice while seeing other designers do their magic.
