June 19th

On this particular Saturday I worked at the Main store in Salt Lake City. I was to help with a set-up this day for a convention at the Grand America but before we loaded up, I had time to do some more cooler arrangements. Liz, one of Every Blooming Thing’s designers, taught me how to make a grid with my arrangements. After showing me, she just told me to go for it and make an arrangement that was more contemporary and different. So that’s what I did, I practically closed my eyes and went for it. I came up with this arrangement.

And this is a closer look of the Grid I made in the back. I used the Grid to help the arrangement hold up the flowers.

After making this arrangement, I had time to make another arrangement before we left to go on the set. Liz challenged me again by wanting me to make a Roundy Moundy more creative and different. I came up with this.

Both of these arrangements helped me to realize that I have more in me than I give myself credit for. Liz really inspired me to get me more excited with the arrangements that I make and helped me to realize that we are artists making art.

  2. I have to agree with you. I love putting tropical colors together... like orange.
